Rubop Font
Rubop is a quarantine baby. When my girlfriend came down with COVID we were stuck in our little apartment for the better part of two weeks. I decided to take that as a challenge to make a font in 7 days. It ended up being closer to 10, but that’s still a win in my book. I sketched a few random letterforms and with no time to spare, quickly decided on a direction. How did I name this baby? Well, R, U, B, O and P were among the first letters I sketched out, in that order. It wasn’t until after looking at my sketches that I saw “RUBOP”, and it stuck from that point on.
Rubop includes:
Uppercase character set
Numerals
Basic punctuation (shown in 7th slide)
Two .OTF files: Regular and Rough
